I wanted to thank “New Canaan Cares” for inviting me sell my handmade jewelry at the 16th annual Kitchen Tour on May 16th. I enjoyed working with the lovely people who organized the tour this year in New Canaan and provided a wonderful day raising money for a variety of charities. Pam Older Designs was proud to be part of it and happy to make a donation based on a very busy day of sales!

Showrooms in Atlanta or NYC- are you out there?
I am looking for showrooms to sell my jewelry in any major city. I would prefer that they understand and have an upscale customer that looks for limited edition silver and 14k handcrafted earrings, necklaces and bracelets. If anyone one reading this knows of a good showroom please let me know. I think Atlanta is a great market as is NY.

The Dogwood Festival in Fairfield Connecticut
I sold my wares at the Dogwood Festival this past weekend and it was a very special event. The area is stunning with flowering trees all around a village green and a white with light blue trimmed New England Church! Just picture perfect and a lovely place to sell my handcrafted jewelry.
Seems like the ladies were partial to light color cluster earrings and I sold a signature cluster necklace in light green garnet with a matching cascade earring to a very lucky woman (her husband, an oncologist also treated his daughter a gift- a pair of loopy hoops in silver!).
To those thinking of selling next year know that it is very well run. They even have people come by and relieve you when you go for made in Vermont homemade ice cream cone!
On May 30-31st I will be at the White Plains show. I hear it is a huge show! Looking forward to it.

Vacation- South Beach!
Just returned from South Beach where the beautiful people hang and where anyone without a tattoo and a bikini
is simply too old to be there! Lots of beautiful weather, water and great meals. Osteria Del Teatro is still
tops on my list but we ate at the Angler Hotel’s restaurant, Maison D’Azure, and it was wonderful too. Great chef and a gem of a room. Loved our stay at the hotel too.
For the best Cuban food without the glitz go to Puerto Sagua!
Not too much great jewelry in South Beach- mostly chain stores like Zara, Banana Republic, Kenneth Cole
and Benneton. But general shopping was great and the stores have things there that they don’t have up North.
